The CRS cut-off score fell below 400 in the most recent Express Entry draw.

More invitations to apply (ITAs) via the Express Entry system have been sent out by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In a draw for applicants who could speak French, the immigration agency gave 6,000 ITAs.

In order to be eligible for this draw, contestants had to

  • a minimum score of 399 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS); and

  • created a candidate profile for Express Entry before August 24, 2025, at 11:43 p.m. Universal Coordinated Time (UTC).

This is the second French language proficiency draw that the IRCC has held in the past three weeks. French-speaking candidates have received almost 12,000 invitations from the department between these two draws, and they still hold the top spot among all candidates in the Express Entry pool for ITA issuances. In just nine draws, the IRCC has granted 48,000 ITAs in this category as of today's draw.


This is December's sixth Express Entry draw. On December 16, there will be a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw; on December 15, there will be a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw; and on December 11, there will be a healthcare and social services' profession draw.


117,998 ITAs have been issued by the IRCC so far in 2025 via the Express Entry mechanism.


This year's Express Entry drawings have mostly concentrated on PNP draws, with the remaining Express Entry ITAs going to CEC candidates, candidates who speak French, and those who fall into the Express Entry priority profession categories:
