More invitations to apply (ITA) via the Express Entry system have been sent out by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). 4,500 ITAs were given by the immigration authorities in an effort to attract applicants who speak French.
In order to be eligible for this draw, applicants had to:
A minimum score of 432 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS); and
Before 7:07 p.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), on June 13, 2025, an Express Entry candidate profile was created.

Since September 4, when the IRCC held another 4,500 ITA lottery for candidates who speak French, today's Express Entry draw is the biggest. The greatest draw sizes of any type in 2025 have been in French category-based draws, with the 7,500 invitation draw on March 21 of this year being the most notable example.
With 30,000 invites as of today's draw, French-speaking applicants have likewise earned the highest ITAs of any group this year under the Express Entry method.
Next year, the IRCC plans to increase its goals for Francophone immigration outside of Quebec, which is primarily made possible by Express Entry's French-language competency category. This move may involve more French-language applicants using the Express Entry system.
Following the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on October 1, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on September 29, and the Trades category draw on September 18, today's draw is likewise on October 2.
In 2025, the IRCC has already issued 70,338 ITAs via the Express Entry system.
PNP draws have been the main emphasis of this year's Express Entry draws; the remaining Express Entry ITAs are for CEC candidates, candidates who speak French, and candidates who fall under the Express Entry priority occupation categories:
