Express Entry: The first-ever education professionals' draw in Canada

More invitations to apply (ITA) via the Express Entry system have been sent out by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
In the first-ever draw based on education category, the immigration service sent 1,000 ITAs to applicants. In order to be eligible for this draw, applicants had to:
a minimum score of 479 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS);
and before 10:35 a.m. UTC on August 10, 2024, an Express Entry candidate profile must be created.

The first candidate to be selected under the IRCC's new education category. The most recent addition to the immigration department's economic objectives is the education category, which was initially revealed in February of this year.

Following Canada's recent national election, the May 1 draw is also the first Express Entry selection.

At this point in 2025, Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants have been the main focus of Express Entry drawings. The remaining draws have been split equally between candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and those who speak French:

If I receive an ITA through Express Entry, do I still need to engage an immigration consultant?
It is not necessary to hire a Immigration Consultant for the Express Entry application procedure, although doing so can have several benefits.
Your chances of success would remain the same if you filed the same application alone or with the assistance of an immigration agent.
